Pumpkin Prevails via baked goods
As expected, My mom's pumpkin cookie recipe is a hit among pumpkin lovers across the board. In case you missed the hand written recipe I posted last week, here is the neatly typed version for all to enjoy. Preheat oven to 375 degrees 1 cup shortening 1 cup canned pumpkin 1 egg 1 tsp vanilla 1 tsp baking soda 1 cup sugar 2 cups flour 1 tsp cinnamon 1 cup mini chocolate chips
dash of salt | 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice optional Bake for 15 min (time may vary, In our gas oven I cook them for about 11 minutes) *You can also use regular chocolate chips, but this isn't about the chocolate. It's about the PUMPKIN.
